Subject:
harmful effect of tourism on Kaziranga National Park.
Sir
Through
the column of your esteemed newspaper I would like to draw the kind attention
of concerned authority towards harmful effect of tourism on Kaziranga National
Park, Assam.
Kaziranga
National Park is a pride possession of Assam habituating different species of
flora and fauna. It is the only place where one horned rhinoceros are seen. So,
it is always been a place of attraction to the tourist from all over the world.
But so often tourists are seen exploiting the facilities available in Kaziranga
and spoiling the environment of the national park.
I
along my family and a few friends visited Kaziranga last month. It was a great
pleasure for us. But we were deeply grieved to see tourists littering the place
with non-bio-degradable plastic packets and wrappers. We saw few of the tourists providing food to
the animals and some others using firewood from the wood to make fire. A few of
them were playing loud music scaring animals. I believe these activities of
tourist may harm the environment and biodiversity of the park.
Considering
it a matter of great concern I felt like writing a few lines to the persona. I
hope to see a constructive response from the authority and tourist as well.
Thanking
you.
Yours
faithfully
